Ethanol is first chilled to -40C to dissolve the cannabinoids and terpenes, leaving undesirable phyto compounds behind.
The ethanol is then removed from the solution, via falling film evaporation to create a crude exact. Once ethanol has been removed, the remaining crude extract is heated to decarboxylate it, converting THCA to THC.
The decarboxylated crude extract is run through a short path wiped film distillation machine to separate and further refine cannabinoids. This results in an 80 – 90% distillate.
Distillate is tested to ensure it meets strict Health Canada guidelines. Once past quality control, it is then combined with desired terpene formulation and filled into CCELL ® Cartridges.
